Ghost Trap by Dan Wolfe / Smoky Mountain Magic
Based on the “Silk in Apple” trick invented by Gene Elmo, we present an ADORABLE routine for your Halloween shows!
You display a carved and painted wooden pumpkin with a hole in it’s bottom and explain that they’re basically a MAGNET for ghosts. It gets examined and wrapped in a paper napkin.
Next, you pull out a small white handkerchief, “Crisper, the Friendly Ghost.” (No, he *used* to be Casper…but you ironed him.) Your volunteer marks Crisper for later identification.
Stepping to opposite sides of the room, the helper holds the pumpkin high in the air. YOU hold Crisper. Shoving him down into your fist, the kids yell “One, two, three, BOOO!”
Crisper vanishes! When the package is unwrapped, there’s the marked handkerchief…right in the center of the pumpkin. Caught in your Ghost Trap!
We whipped these up on a whim…and they came out TOO CUTE! Don’t know if they’ll become a regular item or not, but for a solid five-minutes of perfectly themed magic for your Halloween gigs, you can’t beat the price!
Includes carved and painted wooden pumpkin, white silk “ghost”, gimmick, routine and instructions.
